no they are not stopping their free service but update to another new version 7.5 . i think yours is version 7.1 which is the version going to expire after january 2007. Haha.. No lah.. I got one laptop and one desktop. Laptop for uni stuff and desktop for gaming. Dad got 2 laptops. Bro got one desktop. And I connected another of my "old" desktop to the lcd tv in living room.. AVG does not provide complete protection. You still need other anti-virus to back it up. My recommendation would be Norton 2006(or you can wait for the 2007 version). What's best abt avg is it is free and got resident shield where it alerts you when a suspicious program is trying to install itself in your com(not including malware and spyware but trojan got detect). Avoid mcafee becos not good.

Anyway, BO (Back Orifice) would be better. It has a small file size and uses very little RAM. Though all antivirus and firewall will not like it. -
