LOL, luckly i didn't meet such ppl on SQ892 n SQ892, but i did saw an incident in HKIA. This Chinese lady wanted to 'ta pao' her food with the very blur n stressed up cashier.
When the cashier didn't 'ta pao' her food, she shouted at her 'y nvr ta pao' ?. The cashier muttered something in cantonese, and the lady shouted again
'I talk to u in putonghua, u must talk to me back in putonghua, how dare u dun talk in putonghua' ?
I was wondering what happens if that lady visits Western Countries? Shouting at everyone who dun speak Chinese? Wait, is she a lady in the 1st place? -

well. i have to agree that they are less civilised. but let us not forget that even in our 'very civilised' society, there are still people who spit on air-conditioned SBS buses and when shopping, there are customers who act as if they own the shop and there are also shopkeepers who treat customers as if they owe them a living.
So let us not forget to be gracious everyday! Don't spit on buses, be polite and give up your seats to those who need it more than you do on public buses! -

Most china people is asswipes.
The most classic line from them is "Your ancestor came from china, so you are insulting your ancestors." I hate them saying this whenever I got into verbal fights with them. It is sooo unrelated because I'm a god damn singaporean not a bloody cb PRC. I don't even know who is my ancestors.
One more thing, I totally hate their accents. -

1% of 1.3 billion people in China is no tiny number. And I highly doubt only 1% of Chinamen has such disgraceful behaviour.
Consideration is sorely lacking everywhere in China. Seems like they only act in the name of themselves rather than the greater good. So much for Communism. -

2 months ago I visited Shanghai also, the ppl there are damn rude, like no rule.

Strange, my visits to china were rather uneventful... sure I saw my fair share of behaviour that some might consider not up to standard yet but no real incidents really left a bad memory... maybe because I kinda accepted that they were working in a particular way and worked my way around it or took it in my stride.
On that plane uncle, I would not tell him to stop spitting... I would just whisper to him that the cabin crew is watching him and will later report him on arrival, on which he would be slapped with a hefty fine and prehaps even jail if he didn't stop immediately. Of course do it on the pretext that you are trying to help him... most likely he might thank you for the tip and stop that behaviour. If not... then really report lor... I'm sure the Sg Govt has something on spitting on a plane... esp since SARS.
