  i take home..
  $2300+ less CPF..
  
  get total of $700
  $500 go to OA
  $200+ to Medisave and SA..
  
  so in the end..
  need to top up $300 for the loan.. ( $800 - $300)
  so l left with $2k to spend..
  
  electrical bill, phone bill, internet bill ... etc..
  her gorcery bill... etc...
  will be a bomb..
  plus nxt time baby come out..
  is another mouth to feed..
  will be very the tight one..
  
  and all this is IF i stay in a 3 rooms flat in geylang area wo...

  why don't move near to your parent house instead (if they live in ulu sembawang)
  
  Have u add in the 30,000 gov subsidy to the equation ?
  
  If your wife is not working, why does she need her parents to look after the baby ? So she stay at home and watch TV while u bring in the money and her parents do all the house work ?

  Dont buy what u cant afford, that is rule No 1. Explain to her, since she not working u have to be financially prudent. What if u lose your job, who pays for mortage?
  
  I speak from experience, you live within your means. U are ONLY breadwinner, YOU hv to be responsibe for ur FAMILY's financial well being. DO NOT, plan your financials in such a way as to leave ur FAMILY with no reserves.
  
  Shit happens, ask yourself what will happen if :
  
  i) ur parents fall sick (who pays the bills)
  ii) u fall sick cant work (do u have insurance)
  iii) u die
  iv) u lose your job & cant find another one for 6 months
  v) ur kid has health complications (can u afford the medical)
  
  Dont take unnecesary financial risk becos ur wife wants to live near mother. Tell her to get a f*ucking job!

  for living near parent is 40k grant.
  else newly person who get resale get 30k.
  
  200k -40 k= 160k
  but plus renovation... furniture will knock head one.
