If you want to murder someone...drive a car and run the person over...you will get jailed for 2 years max for negligence driving... or something like that... recent law changes STILL refuse to change laws with regards to driving cars....pathetic..

Fight or flight. Either the driver stay on to fight any verbal abuses, and possible physical confrontation to help the girl, or flight, to avoid being mobbed.
I don't understand why cars speed up against pedestrains. Even if they're jaywalking. Like one of my foreign friend said" He thinks Sporeans are very nice people, friendly and approachable. UNTIL he started driving. He wondered where did all of them go. -

Not referring to this particular case.. But some people you see them cross the streets you also dulan....
They can just stroll slowly across wehn it's red light without looking at the cars coming their way... Totally BOCHAP... Some of them can even SMS while they do that...
Oh.. Another case... That day at Orchard road... The traffic light turns green and people started crossing the street... One ANG MO tried to DRIVE THROUGH the CROWDS... The car pushed against one of the people and that walking guy banged his hand on the car. It stopped and HORNED and the crowd.. Tried to DRIVE and PUSH its way through again when a 2nd guy in front of the car showed him 'stop signal' with his waving hand... I think the Ang Mo was pissed and scolded the walking crowd...? -

Last time I saw the news report a hit and run cases.
