If you realised, most people who write letters to the Straits Times forum fall under the following categories:
1. Too much time on their hands
2. So incredibly serious they have no humour whatsoever in their lives
3. Full of sh1t.
4. All of the above.
There are of course, a couple which address valid issues. -
What if these are not real letter-writers? What if some of them are pseudonyms used to disguise actual opinions of the govt by making it seem like it's an individual raising these concerns?
Think about it. -

On Wednesday, Dec 20 at 0930 hours, I was listening to the radio on MediaCorp 98.7FM when two disc jockeys talked about a 19-year-old student in the United States who, while cleaning a cinema hall, found a lady's handbag with US$24,000 in cash and returned it to the owner.
One of the disc jockeys called the student "the most stupid person in the world" and said that he should have kept the money as "how often does US$24,000 fall from the skies?"
Does the radio station condone such comments?
Also, I find that their language can sometimes be quite lewd and their other comments insensitive.

those who have no sense of humour should jolly well switch to BBC and not deprive others of a good and entertaining morning show.
mediacorp should get a wide range of opinions from listerners before taking action.

Well the only thing I heard on radio was the story about some police men in a scandie country ordering their toilet paper the first time in 20years.
It was because 20years ago, when they put in the order for toilet paper. The police had checked th wrong box. Instead of 20 packages of toilet paper, he ordered 20 pallets. If anyone is in shipping, logistics or manufacturing, they will know what is a pallet. Anyways, when the toilet paper arrived, they find it was too much effort to return the paper. So they stored it in their basement. So now 20years later, they have finished the paper..
