  i can understand most Cantonese, a bit Teochew & Hokkien. But cannot speak.

  I understand Hokkien and Teochew, but can only speak Hokkien.
  
  I still speak Hokkien, so as to prevent my younger sis from understanding what I'm saying.

  I can speak a little Hokkien, and understand a little Teochew and Cantonese.
  
  It's not alright to abandon dialects in my opinion.
  It's still a language afterall.

  I can speak a little cantonese and I like it because I thought it sounded nice.
  I am now learning hokkien even though I though it sounded crude but no choice cause its the most popular dialect in lion city
