For your case, at least the boys turn down the volume...Originally posted by mistyblue:Was on a crowded train. This bunch of malay boys came in and book a whole series of seats. Lots of Office ladies are standing and making their way home on the same train. This bunch of boys started playing their portable players - played some movie or something loudly. Wah.... if the govt actually need to implement such rules and regulation and tag it with a punishment... i bet singapore will make it into world news again... sigh~~~~ singaporeans really need to be controlled in such a way meh???Originally posted by autumncs:For your case, at least the boys turn down the volume...
Once, I was on a bus during morning peak hour and a bunch of malay boys blasted very loud music. One chinese lady asked them to lower the volume. The boys then asked the lady sarcasticly, "You wanna sleep, is it?" The lady, feeling irritated, replied yes. Then, to the horror of the other passengers, the boys jeered and laughed loudly at the poor lady, and they increased the volume instead!!!
In my opinion, loud music on public transport is as irritating as second hand smoke.... Since the government banned smoking in public transport, maybe the government can also do something on irritating loud music... For example, bus conductors and bus drivers should be given the right to confiscate music players from inconsiderate passengers, or kick them out of the bus...![]()
in the past these mats used to carry big radio on their shoulders n blast it loud n walk around... lol...Originally posted by Jalmond:I also do encounter the malay kids playing music max volume in the sbs bus,it is ROCK ,TECHO,METAL and those music that can be heard in the pub.It is so irritating and noisy, but I just keep quite and torlerate.![]()
i agree tat most of the malays enjoying blasting their music in public..Originally posted by Syndicate:I think ever since HP can store music, alot of malay kids start to play their freaking irritating music loudly on bus or train. usually their fav spot is at the head or tail of the train. DAMN irritating.. super duper irritating.

This morning at peak hour, a chinese boy came in. His HP was ringing at max vol. Then he took out his player and started watching movie at high volume as well. Everyone stared at him and his just ignored everyone. No one told him off. He walked off the train as if his daddy built the thing.
My conclusion. Some kids are:
1. Not taught any manners
2. Deaf
Not that we like to generalise, being a teenage myself, I am also irritated by such group of people.Originally posted by Jerina:Why do old(er) ppl like to criticise youngsters??
Old ppl are no better man. Let's not get started on what kind of irritatg nonsense the old ppl do in the bus/mrt.
Since you can generalise, so can I
