  ya..learn from your mistake..this year.my class..total 40.14 passed..36 retained.all ah beng,,retained n retained again n again.not really all..bt some english poor so sad.so have to strive for another yr.

  its ok to retain. i retain too. but in the retain year, focus all your energy on studying. dont play a fool mix around with the bad companys. i did that and i actually couldnt get pass sec 3, meaning i will be retain another time, but my teacher helped me. so yes!, im in sec 4.

  i nv retain, in fact i drop to NA from Express
  
  But i learned a lot of things, grow up alot from this period of time.
  
  And seriously, the friends you made in NA is more true and sincere than those in Express

  I got retained for Sec 3 and eventually passed into Sec 4 after a 2 year MC.
  
  What I feel is that, as long you're willing to work hard and strive for your results, it's going to be fine.

  I didn't get retained but that was a very real possiblity when I was Sec 3. On one hand you feel the sadness if your class is ripped from limb to limb if people kena retain. Also your friends all graduate before you oso not happy. But the bright side,I feel that if you get retain in Sec 3 its better than if you can't handle Sec 4 and flunk your Os. Retain, re-establish foundation, do better for Os. Not ready but didn't retain, rush to Os, flunk everything come back as private candidate. Waste 2 years instead of 1. So sometimes retaining might not be the lesser of two evils.

  actually l was retained before...l was originally from the express stream...and 1st time tk o lvls, l failed...haiz..was very troubled after the results were out..cuz l really dun noe where and what l shld do...really very bad..
  
  So in the end l decide to go bk sch study lo..still hav to beg the teacher lor...actually wan study on my own de..but parents dun allow...go back...l can tell u all..the feeling is very weird and very paiseh de...the teachers will not treat u as normal students..ppl after sch 2.00 can go hm..l hav to stay till 5.00 daily...very what siah...
  
  l was posted to a express class initally...then when l go into the class...the ppl stare at me like l am an alien..the feeling of being looked is really bad..l can say..very paiseh
  
  Okie la..straight to the pt..plz do study hard when exams are ard the corner..and o lvl such major exams..l would urge ppl to start their revision during the february or march period..start driving urself to do ten yrs series and textbooks qns...keep doing and doing..and l can tell u..u will face no problem in the o lvls..
  
  The 2nd time..l tk..l really chiong and study...do ten yrs series again and again..and l passed with 20 pts =)

  I wouldn't recommend starting for O levels in February or March.
  
  Burnout is a very reay possibility.
  
  Instead, I recommend starting revision for O levels about a week after Prelims, after you got the time to rest.

  I diagree with you. I can only imagine the cramming you'd have to do rush all the revision. What I recomend would be you constantly work through out the year and perhaps intensify efforts when its coming closer.
