Totally boring. They ALWAYS like to film shows where families quarrel, people die of car accident or get into coma then woke up on the few last episodes one. I already give up watching them, all similar storylines.

They have chiobu's everywhere and they have a culture of their own. And our culture means behaving like spastics, as evident everywhere in sgforums.
We are also struggling to speak properly, which means all our efforts at cracking jokes are futile because the tone or the way you say stuff is very important sometimes. And we cannot relate those jokes to our own jokes at home (as we all know, jokes are only funny if they are real, but our struggle to speak properly totally ruins this). Our only other path with potential in humour is "joking without a self/words" (a term I created), but our people are often too literal to understand those jokes, and those people are often also the spastics as mentioned previously.
So it is always the spastics that are capable of laughing at our humour on TV, so if you hate singapore humour, congrats because you are not a spastic. -

yesh, i agree, drama can be boring sometimes...talk talk talk... talk bout love... so little action
but some of the vareity or comedy show is nice...like pck, n bon appetit

mediacorp shows getting worse n worse n now worst these days...asking li nanxing to act in a very crappy show, and also zoe tay..
hk TVB drama serials r the best..gd story,handsome man,pretty actress...lots of colours n ideas...compare with sgp,the plot all like the same,tokin ab this family how how,die,quarrel..although their dramas have diff titles,dun u find that the story is like 80% same?hopeless...
i juz hope they ch 8 7pm 9 pm ch u 7pm 10 pm all foreign dramas suan le -
why every mediacork drama always about food?
- there was this nasi lemak drama, holland V featuring some really fat bit.ch who thinks going to korea to study about fashion really helps..
- some soapy drama about fish fillet, where the dad dies and everyone quarrels who cooks the best fish fillet..
- some movie about bak kwa.. and stupid kids..and a very crappy advert..
- another movie about chicken rice..where the 2 leads pretend to be romeo and juliet..
- a drama about a retard opening food shop having a mermaid as a gf.. he got so stupid in life that he always gets lucky..
- some drama about fishballs..where this evil son destroys family fortune..later even killed dad over some illegitate son..
- and now that li nanxing guy potraying himself as some ondeh ondeh seller..
and those countless variety shows talking about food...introducing food places... what makan places lost and found, food on bus routes, makan king etc etc....to top it off, they even import cheap hk and taiwan variety shows talking about food..
what the hell is wrong? every night i on the TV and i see shows about food.. -
