hahaha talk about making a wish.... I made a lot of wished when i was in australia cos i saw a lot of shooting stars... but none of it came true.... so it's all a hoax

I saw it as well.
I have seen plenty of shooting stars in my life. This was nothing like it. I suppose this one is called bolide http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolide .
It lasted for 20-30 seconds and it was BRIGHT. Maybe magnitude -6 or so. Color green with blueish mixture. Very impressive.
I wonder if this is related to the newest comet McNaught which will be at the brightest on 12th - 15th of January.

I hope we can see an video of this Singaporean bolide as well.

I saw the greenish streak too! Its very bright! I guess i must have been very lucky. First time i saw a 'shooting star' in Singapore and so big and bright too!
