I am very glad that you care about out Earth. I disagree with the red part. I would think it is very similar to smoking. Smoking can cause cancer. Once u get the cancer, reducing the smoking is not going to remove the cancer. Hence such a method is not a cure. However, reducing/stopping the cause just let's the body have a chance to fight back and this is just like what the Kyoto Protocol is banging on.
More sad truth is that, in a recent global 2006 meet by scientist and enviromentalist, they have already said that it will not work but it may give a chance for the current generation to work on better solutions. -

The economic world breeds some greedy and powerful ppl. They will refuse all facts until it happens right at their face. You can easily see from the replies of some here.
I wouldn't deny here that many of us needs to be a Hurricance Katrina victim or Malaysia flood victim or tsunami victim, etc, before they realise that global warming can be very very scary. -

I would think the majority would not be able to give up such materialistic gains that we have grown so attached with and with which our minds have been imbued with. Just take our fellow neighbours living in Johor. Just with heavy rains, a number have lost their entire house. The families could have survived but what lies ahead for this group ppl is going to be long period of misery. In sickness and destitute, that's the possibility that some of these victims have to live for the rest of their lives.
The next natural response from many comes that there is surely nothing we can do, so why worry.

Everyone dies one day just a matter of time.. So from now until we die why worry about how we die? Pain is temporary death is permanent. Why waste our "alive" time to worry about something which we can do all the worrying in the world when we already die. So just be happy and live happily. But of course in life it is all about limits and boundaries. We live in a world of limits and boundaries. So we cannot be too extemely happy cos it would have an immendiate impact on other people and that would be selfish of us..
