What I say is to wear with style.. If you wear lapsap lapsap like berms, slippers and polo tee.. you need to know how to carry it off like accessorize yourself
style your hair nice nice, wear nice shoe
etc
colour combination is the key to looking gorgeous in lapsap clothing -

i'm in yr 2 and i really dun wish to carry on studying. projects and projects and projects and exams. STRESS. anyway. I feel alot ppl wear til really damn nice to sch. especially those from business and design. haha the girls machiam fashion show. some girls even wear so little til that obvious that they are letting guys have free show. duno what are the girls thinking. but i myself do wear berms and slippers sometimes cheers

When NYP and TP was first started, people met them with the same sceptism. Now its RP being the newest. Like Temasek ppl there all have fashion sense. If you dont dress up to expectation, ppl there will ignore you. But if you wear those branded clothings, ppl will than talk to you.

but for courses like engineering, they tend to dress very sloppish.. t shirts, bermudas and sandels...
however, dressing well dosen mean that pple will tok to u as well. most importantly is ur character wise.. we don care much bout fashion or dress code.. anyway, we are here to study not doing a fashion show right? -
I also go school bo hew lan one..sometimes go in berms, shorts, sometimes jeans. Then depend on mood also. Anyway...you go school is to study wat, not go there catwalk fashion show all that.

Sad to say, people can be very shallow these days...it won't hurt to dress up a little no matter where u go, TYING!!!!
I think choosing poly take these into consideration lor:
- If the poly has the course u wan
- the distance: u dun wan to spend half ur time travelling
- go to the open house and see if u like the environment there: picture yourself as a student and FEEL it...

Not hearsay, but it's true. But it's not the presentation thingy that resulted in them leaving. It's our learning method. Moreover, RP's curriculum is all Year 1 students will learn everything from communications to business, maths to science. That's a huge waste of time, when some modules are totally irrelevant to your course of study. Other polys have those modules as electives, but in RP, it's compulsory.
Some cite the timetable as a reason of leaving. Everyday starts school at 8.30 am, ends at around 3 or 4pm. Way too boring. Other polys have better timetables, they feel.
As for the SAT thingy, I believe things will get better. First batch of graduates are already out, some already have gotten a job, while others are for NS. -
