Visiting Churches

Hi, I'm thinking of bringing my girl to a church with old classical European architecture just for something different, instead of a boring old movie date. Some place like Saint Andrew's Cathederal?
I'm not Christian or Catholic though, neither is my girl. We're both Muslims.
What I wanna ask is will our church-visiting be restricted? As in, if we wanna look look see see, will certain areas of the church be out of bounds for mere visitors who do not practice the faith? I have no idea if church halls are open to curious kaypohers such as myself, nor do I know if they're open besides on Sunday masses.
Sorry for being a huge blur sotong. Don't really go to churches heh. -

Churches are open in the day especially, for people to go in and pray, like during lunch hours. -

Yeah, just wear something proper.
I think the old churches don't really have the kind of European feel you're looking for. But the very old ones left are Cathedral of the Good Shepherd (besides Chijmes) and Church of St Peters and Paul.
No air-con, very traditional

Used to have the kind of feel you described, but has since renovated and looks more modernised now. Which means, air-con is available -

A good example of a traditional looking Catholic church is St Joseph's Church at Queen Street. The interior architecture beats the other parishes any day.
Most Catholic churches are open everyday. -

Armenian church la.. that one best lor.. lagi bagus one.. and i think it has the longest history too.. I THINK

Based on my experiences at various parishes, I second the choice of St Joseph's Church (the one in town, not Bukit Timah). That Sts Seter & Paul and the Cathedral (and the former convent CHIJMES) are within walking distance is a bonus.
