becos the 1800 one says other charges applies or something...
and if he has an extension phone, there will only be installation charges
(ie. same no. as his parents' phone, but an extension in his room)
if he installs a separarte line from his parents' line
ie. a new line ie. different number from his parents' phone
he will be charged installation
plus subscription of $25 per 3 months
plus usage which is that $4 to $7 for me every month -

Found out that got one shop near his house which sells all this kinda card one, and I got a $10 value one for only $8

Usually, your total overseas call charge = IDD rate + local call rateOriginally posted by rainee:hmm...i dun get the local airtime part
So say you are on Plan X from Starhub, bundled with 680 free minutes of local calls and free 018 IDD to Malaysia.. so now that means overseas call charge = completely free, provided you haven't used up your plan's 680 free minutes for that month.

i bought phoenix for my dear, but he is still trying to find the phone jack and wire in his hse, so mite be trying it out either tonite or tomolo nite
will let u know how it goes...if this one doesnt work, i mite try out the Hello! card le -

Heh im learnin not to exceed my 100min outgoing on ioneplus
... im been maintainin for mths now been using till near the peak 97~99mins to prevent additional charges..still accidental usage of gprs still costs me about 50cents each mth.. -

1st, u must own internet
2nd, a phone that can uses internet calling
3rd, register voipcheap (search internet)
follow the setting and u can call around singapore , malaysia and other countries FREE. using internet not yr sim card, if u scared, can take out yr sim card and dial internet calling. -
