to the TS:
kinda surprised u actually chose to be in a JC thru DS, and to pursue your interest at the same time.
i guess u gotta tahan for awhile more until result release ba.
bcos IMO, to really ensure you get the best benefits, try considering poly. mroe advantages. esp for sports, shouldnt be a big problem here.
bcos over there u study the course module by module, not like a subject which comes in a big and hard-to-digest chunk. somemore certain modules are by continuous assessment. even after reserving some time for doing tutorials/research u'll still have some free time here and there. looking at the situation in JC right now i guess u find it hard to even complete some tutorials?

I'm assuming that in addition to sleeping in lectures, your grades are also slipping?
(Some people sleep during class still manage to do well. If you're this type, then just sit at the back and sleep
)
Competition season definitely needs intensive training, it's more relac during exam time. For this period go to your tutors and tell them you have problems with schoolwork due to training, ask to see them privately when you have questions so that they can give you extra help. I think the school & staff would be able to help you in light of your CCA commitments. -
Drink coffee. I used to drink 3 cups everyday because almost every night working part-time. Reached home, bathe and wait for hair to dry, sleep at about 12.30am or 1 am everyday and wake up at 5am everyday. But I always reach school early so before school start, I just lie on the bench and sleep.
Otherwise, I just take a quick nap in lectures. Sleep for a while, after that wake up damn refreshed. But sometimes really too tired, slept all the way till lecture end. Other time, if not so tired, half-way sleeping hear important points, wake up and start taking notes. -

usually i will talk to my friends.... talk bout somethin funny or interestin.... talk and talk.... then wont feel sleepy liao. it works for me
my problem is, i have difficulty listenin to lectures, it's 1 ear goes in the other goes out, so i prefer to self study -
actually U can talk to ur lecturer...if he/she dont mind U standing at the side of the LT or at the back during the lectures...then U can try doing it...Not everyone can fall asleep standing...

maybe u try taking down notes as much as possible? so at least when u not alert still got notes to read when u go back.. drink red bull or kopi lor.. or beo gals or eat some sweet....worst case scenerio go chew some chilli...confirm wake up man...really...i see ppl do before...sibei hard core... -

i see. but do consider your future path carefully after your release of results. bcos JCs arent always kind to students. [some dont give 2nd chances. =.=] furthermore, i saw mahawarrior's thread in AA. was really like OMGOSH.

dont bring anything other than pen and paper, copy everything important down. saves $ for buying notes also. -
