In Sydney people know not to mess with Vietnamese gangs.
If you go to asian nightclubs, there are usually some of them about, and if they dont like you, they may simply come up behind you and start beating you up.
If they really dont like you, they will drive by the club and shoot you.
More than one Aussie bouncer has been found dead as a victim of a drive by shooting.
When they stop a Vietnamese guy from entering a club, simply cuz the guy was Asian, he'll return with some friends and kill him.
There are some Korean gangs and Triads too. In some high schools, it has been a problem as there are a lot of Asians in the High Schools (SG calls them Secondary Schools) and triads recruit them.
It's not downtown LA, but they exist. -

one of the SAF techicians got jio meng'ed by thai pai kias at a club in bangkok, simly because he has a sia lan face ...
luckily he was with another SAF perm staff who was a REAL singapore pai kia .... so he went over and puay'ed with them ... seemed like thai gangs and singapore gangs got friendship links of MOU or something ... in the end nothing happened ... -
