  So the problem we currently have now is:
  
  1) the Sun left with a life expectancy of 5 billion more years, at which time, the Sun's elements will "swell" up, swallow Earth. So 'proof' goes the earth.
  
  2) Moon is leaving Earth orbit at approx. 1cm/year. (Figure should be correct)
  
  3) Resources on earth is running low
  
  4) Change in climate cause by global warming
  
  5) Global warming itself
  
  6) Plus many other problems not mentioned
  
  Is artic ice melting surprising, especially it's been mentioned long ago?
  
  So what's next?
  
  I think the reason why humans are finding hard for second earth is because they have a feeling earth is beyond help.
