Students caught smoking is already bad enough, but gambling, and in broad daylight?
A STOMPer, who prefers to remain anonymous, sent us the following email about students from a secondary school located along Bedok Reservoir Road openly placing their bets and lighting up in full view of the school. This is his email :
“It’s already 7pm on Wednesday night. Instead of being home, this group of students in full school uniform chose to gamble at the void deck of the HDB block along Bedok Reservoir Road. This has been happening every weekday for the past two weeks. Sometimes there are even two groups of students gambling at the same time. At times they are discreet about their stakes but through their conversation on how much money they owe one another you know cash is at stake. Other times, they display and exchange cash openly throughout the game. I can’t imagine how parents will feel when they find out that their children are gambling away their pocket money.
It is also a daily affair for students to gather at this void deck immediately after school. As you can see in the other photo, students not only light up openingly in full school uniform, they also litter the void deck with empty drink packets, disposable instant noodles bowls and cigarette butts. The situation was so bad that two big dustbins were introduced but they still chose to throw them all over the place.
This void deck is less than a 100m from the school compound and is in full view as you walk out from the school. I have lost count of how many times I have brought these matters to the schoolÂ’s attention but nothing seems to be done.
I don’t know what schools are teaching children nowadays. A few days ago, I overheard the conversation of a group of students from another secondary school. Every one of their sentence begins with dialect epithets.”

Ok the littering part maybe a little too much.. I pity the old aunties who have to clean really. -
looks like STOMPing people has become a favourite past time for many Singaporeans. I wonder what they do it for?To get the kick out of doing it or to see people get embarrassed on the net?
