This is not a racist comment but a really true thing about some part of their culture...
I hate doing sales and anything with them... they always like to squeeze you until you don't earn like that... want to argue with you even for 2 cent items... then for that little money owe you long long... do you have similar experience? -
Money is important too them mah. Every cent counts.

Yah I have the same experience as you. We have previously done business with several Indian companies and responded to quite a few Invitation to Tenders from Indian company. My experience doing business with Indians left me quite exasperated. 1. They do not seem to believe in building a mutual benefitial relationship. It just doesn't occur to them that their suppliers also need to make money.
2. After squeezing you dry, their next item on the agenda is how many Indian suncontractor you are going to use;
3. Their terms of contract are extremely one sided, and these terms are usually non-negotiable.
4. During meeting, its quite pointless talking to them. They will drone on for tens of minutes to get their points across, and the moment you open your mouth for a counter proposal, they cut you off and droned on for another half an hour. This goes on ad infinitum
5. They are extremely micro-focused.
6. They are somehow under the notion that they are your one and only client, and demands full and immediate attention to any minute problems.
The Singaporean Indians do not seem to have the above problems though. -

Understand the contents of yr post. When my parents were doing business, they had tthe same problem too! and if u work for them they are also like dat. my ex indian boss really squeezed me to work like shit, and a very unprofessional indian - TH_ru, is the name! VEry rude, tell me if i dun like his face asked me dun work for him! Kena sai, i transferred to other dept!
Not only the full indian (i mean pure), half, semi indian also behave the same! Come across one, indian pa pa and mother is chinese,and he looks like chinese. work or do business with him really suck blood! for one thing, he can ask 7 to 8 times and thereafter, change everyting!
Given a choice dun do business or work with them lor!

hmm.. my company don have any business dealings with the indian in singapore.. but we do have some customers from indian.. so far so gd, they are quite satisfied with the prices we quoted and they didnlt bargain as much also..
