You haven't met me in negotiations when I plan to buy something in the market or a place. I will also find out how desperate you are. I will pick every single potential and actual fault I can find and bargain down. I am not even an indian .

Actually, business is about making money - as much as u can.
Maybe they're just the extremists who will stop at nothing until all their terms are met.

My mom worked very well with her PRC business partners.. she studied Chinese culture & language. Let's face it people go into business to make $. Each will look out for the best deal.
I've worked with Indians, PRCs and a host of other partners. Though each have their own style of doing business, they all have one thing in common... looking after the bottomline. In that point we are no different....
There will be some extreme cases out there, not just Indians but anybody. I've dealt with my fair share of good, bad and down right ugly. At the end of the day however, I just tell myself it's not worth worrying about it. If I think this client will be giving more problems than benefits to the company, I'll just walk away. -

There are cheap ppl of all races. E.g. my section went out for dinner and the bill came to about $19.50 a person. Someone paid with his credit card 1st and the rest gave him $20 each. This 1 joker (the richest amongst us at that) gives $20 and asks for 50 cents back.... and he ain't Indian
Another guy, even if you owe him 10cents he'll start chasing ya for it. Though i must say, if he owes you 10 cents - he'll take a bus to return it to ya
To sum it up..... please don't let your few dealings with Indians define the entire race. There are a few rotten apples in every basket. Hopefully the rot doesn't spread. -
