if you look carefully enough toiletries alone sold at supermarkets are AT LEAST one or two dollars more expensive. -

oh yes, sheng siong sells real cheap things!! my neighbour just bought chicken at $2.85 each. Dun think NTUC can beat Sheng Siong! The body lotion is cheaper than other stores and supermarkets, the one I saw was nivea body UV lotion at $5 ++ whereas other places selling at least at $6.50. -
Try one at Ten Mile Junction at Woodlands Rd , also got SS for those who dunno

In October last year my mom & i went to SS Ten Mile Junction near where i live. We bought an Akira TV at $99! Then, as we were exiting, it was raining and this man in Sheng Siong Uniform who happens to be a delivery person OFFERED us a lift in the Sheng Siong lorry! then it was like we put the TV into the back of the lorry which is the type with refrigerator and that guy sent us all the way back home! -
Not that Im rich, it's because Im lazy. I just consider it as transport cost/ convinience. For instance, 7-11 is actually very expensive. But who cares, night time after 10pm it is the only outlet still open. Furthermore it is across the street only. Night time I go there sometimes.

The 1 at ten miles is very big. 2 storeys. I prefer the tidbits area. So many to choose from.

Meat Pao. if u r not staying near Sheng siong and need to buy just 1 or 2 items - then no point travel all the way there. MY sis just bought the bourbourn coffee/chocolate biscuits at only $2/- in sheng siong, won't be able to get this sort of price for this biscuits elsewhere in singapore. -
Good news for all those staying @ or around Bedok Central. Giant is officially closing down today as they have lost the battle to NTUC. I myself visit NTUC and not Giant coz the veg @ Giant are not fresh at all... And I've heard news that the next new tenant is Sheng Siong. There is bound to be fierce price battles between the 2. And we the consumers are the ones who are going to benefit... I can't wait !!

If you are bigger, the more you should be selling more SKUs and not almost the same range as the normal FP outlets -
too bad there is none near my house (bukit merah)
