If she is lucky - she will live the full 20 years.
If she is not - rejection of the transplant can occur at anytime and will result in death. -
Allografting transplantation is a very big major problem because of graft rejection.
Transplantation should always be the last resort to any situation regarding organ failure...especially when the donor is not someone genetically identical to you...
It's a major headache lah, yes, it is true that she will not live long. I'm surprised that for her case its 20years, since it is a very long time. Normally transplanted organ only survives up to 8years. -

20 yrs, by then science /medicine could have advanced to a stage where things might be very different. Already, there was a letter to the forum proposing trading of organs. Hence, she may get another transplant to prolong her life - bcos the situation might be very different.
I remembered her transplant was allowed due to the special circumstances then, whos going to say the macro-environment won't change by then? -

If I had to point a finger, I would point at Chen Liping and Rayson "what's his name?" for selling that drug. But it's not fair to do that as Miss de Cruz herself took it upon herself by consuming it without considering the risks first. We all will die of accident, sickness, suicide, execution, war, act of God, or old age, which ever is earlier.
So far there hasn't been any one yet who has not died or is not going to die. -

I still reckon its a publicity stunt. Somethings she can still keep to herself but chose to let the world know. It might be a big deal if she's on zhang ziyi's level. Unfortunately, her name doesn't ring a damn bell outside singapore's shores.
