All I know is that you cannot bring along your 'heavy firearms' to a foodcourt/canteen etc etc. Side arms are ok but not this. You dun see any police officer on duty going to coffeeshop tabao food and drinks with their M16 or MP5. I have seen SOC troopers patrolling the streets with their MP5 but when one went to a 7-11 to buy a few bottles of drinking water, he pass over his MP5 to his fellow colleagues. Maybe those in the police force or ica can give some comments here?

i bring my 'wife' to the canteen leh when i was in tekong... PC say rifle is my 'wife' leh... So the STOMPer who taken the pic is something terrible missing something in life... Go orchard road,u see them taking MP5 and walk like no body buiness... So that y ppl say singapore dun see police or army,u complain... U see got the security in place,u complain that they are scaring u when u are eating bar chor mee... CB lah...

Last time while doing Protection of Installation (POI) during the terrorist activities period, my frens drove the army jeep, with a GPMG mounted on top of it, to a neighbourhood 7-11 to buy drinks lor... I forgot whether they covered the GPMG with sandbags or not...
