3) And you think our leaders will flee? Where they go? UK? US? Aust? You think it is easy for leaders to come and go as they want? Look at what happen to Thaskin.
4) you think someone can just drop a bomb on us when they like?
Why do our Govt invest overseas and we have some many foreign investors.
Imagine, if you have a house with many children of different nationality. Is it easy to attack this house?
Point 2: if you have money , the world is colorblind to your skin color.
Point 3: Bearing in mind Temasek has substantial investments in Australia. Tell me who is the CEO of Temasek and who are the relatives? Yup , you can pretty much hazard a guess there.
In Western Australia, from the grapevine, some bigshot bought residential property there. I am not going to say who but yeah it is known in the Singaporean community there.
Thaksin was over confident - he thought that no one can oust him and bulk of his money is in Thailand. So his assets and reserves in thailand are frozen.
Point 4: No one will drop a bomb on Singapore, it will be urban warfare. However now with missile targetting systems especially with satellites - all the military bases in Singapore can be easily destroyed with a targetting system.
Under the conventions, war has to be declared. Once it is declared. Foreign citizens will be evacuated by their governments while locals get slaughtered.
I would like to add: I will evacuate my family first to my adopted country using humanitarian reasons and then talk later. My parents are too old to fight. They are my first priority. They won't survive in war. Second priority is helping overseas Singaporean students. They will be shut off because once there is a war in Singapore - all entry points will be shut regardless of whether they want to return to fight or not.
I won't mind returning to Singapore after the war is done with to rebuild Singapore . If it occupied by a foreign power, I think there will be alot of us who would protest internationally against it.
Besides what are the chances of war happening in Singapore? All economies surrounding Singapore are growing. War takes up too many resources. A developing nation would much rather devote its time developing its economy unless Singapore is found to be sitting on a huge oil reserve.
