Singapore will win if the aggressor wants to take over Singapore with everything intact... urban warfare.
But if the aggressor just wants to destroy Singapore, Singapore will lose. Just throw everything they have at Singapore.
Anyway... I'm kinda worried if our scholar officers are the ones planning the strategies... -

humm..in the first place..why would ppl wanna attack us..waste resource?? also..if any country wanna attack us...our neighbour sure will help 1...y? cos of our location..if it become a naval base for the invader..hoho..surely the neighbouring country will go down..and then even china will b afraid..so if any1 were to attack us..they would wan our place to b intact so they can send in their troops to make our country as a front line / battle station..but b4 they could do that..i bet our neighbouring country would try to help..well..this is just a illustration of in the case where our invader is russia or america where they invade us for natural resources in the neighbouring area..and where these country are far away and their troops have to come slowly...
one of the replies said that singapore can only hold out for 3 days..actually it pretty much depends..if america were to invade us rite..surely they cannot send too much of their force out at once..this is becos no 1 would send so much of their force just to invade a small nation..if u notice..our strategy is mostly defense..and we have a few subs and frigates which can hopefully stop american naval force..until the other country retaliate/help..which we might see NK sending in a nuke -
SG strategy is defence? Lets say MAYBE, SG wanna attack how? Attack because of defence?

I think when come to protect our own loves one
you really heck care how strong who your enemies from where
wats teh use if one loses its own family members , so wats
the use even the country still survive
you will only be living lonely forever in this world

Everyone have thier own thinking. Nowadays, the world are very very much different. Proud of your country and love for country, are very very different since the last few wars (recorded as world war or not).
Nowadays, more and more people living abroad. 50 years ago, places would not be friendly to outsider now are more open up to them. Having a war in the near future, I would bring my love ones with me abroad (to a country not involved). People in previous wars don't have the luxury or option we have now. They can only choose to fight. But then why they fight, for the country? It is for their love ones who left behind!

Thanks for the reality check. I am just giving opinion on the topic, to stay or not to stay. Since I am given a ticket out and have the financial to support myself in new country, I opt for the latter option.
The safety of my loves one and myself will be my foremost attention. -

No probs bro. I guess if I have the money and ability to get out of this country I would choose to do so too. But alas, I do not possess that privilege. But I fight not because of the country or the ruling party, I fight because I have to protect my loved ones. Simple as that. I think our country's values have eroded a lot due to the race for material attainment. So much so that I feel very little for this place I supposedly call home.
Heck, even the government dun give two hoots about the sacrifice of us NS men, choosing to open the floodgates to FTs. Many of us have gone through a lot in NS, some had permanent injuries, while a few even died from it. I am still carrying NS injuries now. But what do we get in return for protecting their arses? Jobs robbed from us...
Sorry to sound like I am whining. But I am not, for I believe this to be a very real scenario facing us now.
It is so true the popular saying "Jobs for foreigners, NS for Singaporeans".

Let me assure you, that you are wrong. I do believe in our SAF. I do believe we have a chance to stand our ground.
