like you've said, you've only got 5 days. so think wisely and carefully instead of wasting these 5 important days to feel depressed and not come up with anything eventually?
even if you might be separated from your current friends (which you will have to, becus these changes are inevitable, especially when everyone is moving on to different schools and courses), you guys can still keep in contact via msn or smses right? and you won't be alone studying if you choose to retake ! there will be people here taking their O's this year as well. you can make friends with them and study together!
as for the problem with your dad, you might want to get a relative whom you trust to talk to him about it? i do hope things will be well for you! the most important thing is that you must have an optimistic mindset for now and don't regret whatever decisions you make! -
stop feeling depressed and start working out the solutions you can take. no point crying over spilled milk. cry and get depressed if you must, but only for a day. the rest of the 4 days, think about what you can do.

most people would choose ITE or retain in school or choose a lousy course.
personally, i'd recommend u go to ITE. u'll find company u yearn for, and if u score good enough, u can still enrol into poly.

maybe becus the job prospects may not be good? anw if you anyhow choose one lousy course just becus u wanna enter poly.. you might regret.. summore study poly so expensive..

What are your interests? If at this point now, your points does not enable you to get into a course you want, maybe you can consider re-taking your "O" levels as a private candidate.
I feel that it's better to waste 1 year to re-take and hopefully with a more serious mindset, you can get better results, then to waste 3 years in a Poly, getting stuck in a course you totally hate. If you hate what you study, you won't get far anyway.
Then again, do not underestimate the "unpopular" courses in the poly, cos those courses have less graduates, which might make your cert more valuable when you look for a job in the future.

I'm feeling sorry for you but we got to admit that life isn't fair for us all.And by the way,if u fail science u can't get into any engineering courses at all.As for it,i think there is still a possibility for you to try.Be realistic in your choices and choose those closest to your COP.
If all else fails,just go to any poly that has course interviews or SAE(whatever it's called) and just try your luck. -

It's not about lousy course but rather a course of your interest.I know people who are 20+ pointers but their gpa in poly is like above 3 for every sem.Different people excel in different areas,no one man is the same! -
imo, there is no lousy course in poly.
just do what you like, not base on the popularity of that particular course
what is lousy? less popular or low job prospect ? or will not earn much ?
