And its not like the stronger students have really excellent chinese.
I am not asking for much.
I am just asking for the teacher to put in more effort and at least gurantee 80% of the students a C6 when they reach O level.
But she aint doing it. For everyone that fail, she just ask them to take CLB.
At the same time, if more pupils go to CLB = less pupils in class = less work for her.
And for the better students, she kept encouraging us to go for the express stream. Even when we told her we wont be able to cope there. She didt care. She just force us to go.
She even suggested to the HOD to transfer some of our class students to the class next door during chinese.
For many things she do. Somehow it relates to decresing the amount of pupils in the class. -

Pls lah chinese. No nid to study or listen one lor. it's either u can make it or can't. and that depends on how much u learn in pri sch, like ur founation etc. i didn't do a single essay in sec sch i still got B3...it's not hard, i mean actually olevel chinese is super frag one.
and those f9 cases i dun even think nid to bother getting c6 la. u get c6 dun tell me u wan to count in to L1R5...crazy la.
I think if that teacher is like amaths or physics, or chem then cham because these subjects really need to rely on your teacher's teaching...teacher no good=c5,b4, teacher good=a1,a2 for entire class...

Foundation is important but its not everything.
There are students that used to be weak in chinese. During their sec school they put in their effort and manage to get a b3 and above i am sure.
If O level chinese is super frag you should have got A1.
Dont talk like you are some kind of chinese whiz please. You only got a B3.
I dont care whether you put in ur effort or not.
Not being able to read the chi newspaper is quite a different story.
Anyway fyi i am from the NA course. So only 6 subjects.
In short every subject is a must for L1R5.
And some students subjects like math and science already CMI already.
So they do need the chinese.
If you look down on me becuz of that. I have nth more to say.
Its not entirely on results.
Its also about the teacher's attitude. -

Even if the class is hopeless, my school never do that.
I would suggest that you bring this up to the HOD or your Principal. If it doesn't work out, you can get the class to sign the letter and get it forwarded to the Principal and CC to MOE.
I'm just being thankful that my Principal was rather helpful. For eg, my class was sandwiched between 2 NT class which is very noisy and disruptive. We were badly distracted for 1 week and we brought this issue up to our teachers and the Principal and we got to change our classroom within the next week. -
before you make a complain please think through carefully. i know you want to get your teacher into trouble and hopefully she change for the better. i know you want to get a message of "no such thing as easy job in this world" i also know that you're young and impulsive but is this really necessary?
if you can score well why can't your classmates. maybe you come from a chinese speaking background but some of your classmates come from an english speaking background. why don't you instead in your free times coach each other in your school work.
though i don't really know much about chinese since i'm in CLB myself but seems to me its kind of hard to get an F9 in MT unless you really sucks at it. -
