  Commiting suicide is the dumbest solution to any problem. People should always look on the bright side of life. So you are in a bad shape now, but what makes you think you can't get out of it? And if you can get out of it, don't you wanna live life and treasure it more? Spent more time with your children, be a good son, be a better friend, have an extraordinary career (doing what you love), be a great lover and explore the world!! xD

  That will depend on whether the person can give up his original dreams. Or if there is a viable path ahead. People think of suicide only if there is not even an inch to move at all, front and back.

  if they can see the "silver lining" den it wouldn't be called depression.
  
  i once read someone said, "in depression, the victim deals with life and death decisions all the time." meaning, when a person is really depressed, he is asking and questioning his right to life and survive every moment.
  
  for every time he asks himself whether he should commit suicide, what are the chances he will notice that "silver lining in every dark cloud?"
  
  and, he asks himself that question, every moment every day.
  
  if he does convince himself, every time, that suicide is not the best solution, there might be a time, when he chooses the other way and commit suicide.
