The surname part is tradition la... if u really insist on it and ur man loves u then surname for ur children shldnt be a problem

we see guys getting their ass in jail or sent to boy home because they had sex with gal below 16.
but do we see gal getting jailed for having sex with guy below 16 ?

Girls are more stupid then guys generally.
Them being emotional would affect their working ability.
Thus people would not want to hire them.

there's an unwritten rule of chivalry; on some issues, guys will always defer to females. however, it is wrong to call that sexism.

I dont believe sexism exist anymore la...men also need to NS then gals need to undergo pregnancy etc..somemore law protects the women..Especially after a divorce, mostly, the man has to provide money whereas women get the kids..so this society is actually in one way or another fair to both male & female.

sigh sexism again.. look, the more you demand for equality, the more you show that we're not on the same level.. look, when a couple goes out on a date, the gentleman should always do this and that for the lady.. well that's manners.. men do open doors for ladies and help out the lady any way possible.. i dun see men complaining.. imo, man and woman can NEVER be equal.. men go ns women dunnid, women have something on every month men dun etc etc.. but STATUS-WISE, man and women ARE EQUAL.. if there really is such a case, either you're paranoid or you face a minority of men as a whole, who are MCPs.. either that or majority of men are MCPs and you've yet to meet the minority.. =x no offense

*chuckles* Well in this politically correct and skeptical world, many people would deny that such a thing would happen to you, TS.... worse, your character may be brought into question...
It's still same old, same old. "Lady boss" is still a widely used - albeit mildly derogatory - joke, women in high positions still have to put up with behind-the-back speculation that she "slept her way there", powerful women still have trouble finding life partners who won't be threatened by their status/wealth ...ironically, both men AND women are guilty of keeping this status quo... just because there are more women in control of their lives out there doesn't mean social attitudes have changed much.
Just like someone said earlier in this thread, a woman still has to work doubly hard to prove her worth. It's still hard for a woman to rise to the top on her own and earn respect. It requires an unusual level of control over one's emotions (cool-headedness) and alot of skill. Then there's the social expectations of you as a woman - you have to do more than a man, you're expected to be a mom, too!
It's no wonder more and more girls are shunning the path of a career woman (aka supermom). It's just so much easier to sink into the chauvanistic stereotype of the pampered princess, no? -
