NUS or NTU better?

So far havent got feedback over at NTU. My friends at NUSBiz say it's not worth studying biz over there.
Moral of the story.. ask ur student to find Gacky.. hand in hand we go SMU admin block.

NTU has a better course for accountancy
NTU is very secluded, hard to find transport there
Not as high ranking as NUS
NUS more recognized, higher ranking
Does not have a specialization in accountancy
Quality of accountancy program (or rather business program, cos there is no specialized accountancy program there) is not as good as NTU one -
but in the end both lousy lah. go Harvard

MBA wise...NTU has a very much better ranking as compared to NUS in Financial Times, but for undergraduate business degree, no such ranking available yet.

i'd say going to the open house is impt. go to the various institutions' website and check out their programmes lined up for this weekend. attend the workshops, seminars, listen to the lecturers/students speak for themselves.
u're gonna be in it (time, money, effort) for the next 3 to 4 years. better see for yourself before deciding. -

the one lined for NTU is not really possible for my student. The talk about the accountancy/business degree will start around 1045 until 11 sth. She will be taking her exam in JB at that time. -

I don't know which one is better.
6 months to get 100% employment isn't exactly short. 66% getting job offers early is probably just them being kiasu and hte hiring season beign b4 graduation date.(btw thye might definte gradtuation date as when the don the gown etc which is like 2-3 months after the exams for NUS)
top 20% but doesn't say anythign about the rest. hmmz wait top 20% graduate employees means the graduates they hire?

for those of u who easily typed "nus better", can justify?
NBS is accredited with AACSB and EQIUS, their accountancy program is recognised by ICPAS and ACRA. NUS Biz fac has AACSB, but not EQUIS, and their 'just out of the oven' accountancy program recently failed to obtain ACRA and ICPAS recognition. NTU's Accountancy program has a track record of producing outstanding accountants for the past many years, can NUS boast of any?
from what i know, the top business school in singapore currently is still nanyang business school. SMU is coming up, but not there yet.
This may sound offensive, but NUS is ranked higher than NTU becos they're a full uni wif law and medicine fac. If u compare fac individually, especially biz, i'll say ntu wins hands down. The onli advantage NUS has over NTU is probably the name "NUS".
Even though i'm biased towards NTU, at least i state facts to support my case.

but unless by business degree you mean accountancy degree. what you said has no real bearing on how NTU business is better too.

yeah, ur right tt the name of NUS is better. the problem lies here, NUS has been riding on their name far too long.. I'll say, if ur not from law, medicine or sciences, pls dun flaunt the name of NUS.. -
