I spoke to one guy (European) in Bangkok a few days after it happened and he simply abandoned his business in Phuket (Pub) and was going back to Europe because he saw his friend and partner die in the Tsunami.
Grown man in his forties or fifties with tears in his eyes as he talked to me. -
