Volunteers Needed Urgently
Volunteers to help sort foreign currency from donation boxes
Duties include sorting and counting foreign currency from SPCA donation boxes
Once a month, on a Wednesday from 0930a to approx. 1p. Volunteer need not stay for entire sort, but it is preferred.
Flexible commitment, but regular attendance appreciated!
Volunteers to help Merchandise Officer in the Stockroom
Duties include packing and pricing of SPCA merchandise
Once a week, either on Monday or Friday for about 3 hours each time
Regular, long term commitment (of at least 3 months) is required
Animal Shelter Reception Volunteers
Duties include answering the phone in the shelter reception office
Once a week, for one of these time slots:
Tuesday, 1pm to 4pm
Sundays 10a-1p (alternate weeks)
Sundays 1p-4p (alternate weeks)
Regular, long term commitment (of at least 3 months) is required. Volunteer Must be mature and able to deal with the public.
School Sales Volunteers
Duties include selling of SPCA merchandise in schools
Once a month on a weekday from 9am to 11am (2 hours) during school term
* Please note that volunteers for the above positions are still subject to approval and will have to meet SPCA's requirements and criteria. Additionally, volunteers interested in any of the above positions will also have to go through our mandatory Orientation Session first before they may begin volunteering.

SPCA Registered Volunteer Requirements
Registration Process:
In order to become a registered volunteer with the SPCA
1. Please print and fill out an application form
2. Submit via fax to 6287 5997 or mail directly to SPCA at 31 Mount Vernon Road, S(368054)
Orientation Information:
1. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact applicants to offer an availabe date for a New Volunteer Orientation. *Note: Orientation is mandatory prior to volunteering in any position and no volunteers will be accomodated without prior attendance.
2. Orientations are held every fortnight on a Saturday at 11am, and lasts for approximately 1.5 hours.
3. The purpose of the Orientation is to inform you of the policies and procedures of the SPCA as well as to brief you on the duties of the volunteer positions we currently maintain.
4. The SPCA will make every effort to schedule an orientation at the earliest convenience, but please be aware that at times, backlogs occur. Be assured we will make every effort to get your volunteering experience started as soon as is possible. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated!
Age Requirement:
1. There is a minimum age requirement of 17 years old to be a registered SPCA volunteer.
2. Anyone below the age of 17 years old can assist with the Annual Flag Day, or in the area of packaging or publications and can help create awareness through talks, exhibitions and organising sales of SPCA merchandise in your school. For more details, please e-mail
