  that day i was on this train. this malay guy was drinking red bull and this other indian guy go and press the emergency red button to talk to the train captain just becaues the malay guy drank redbull on the train.

  Have you guys read yesterday's edition of ST Life? There is an article which features designs and creations by students graduate from a particular course... I cant remember. And there is this distinct design of a bicycle stand that will hinder chances of bicycle thefts because of a certain feature... And the design is rather unique and may help to quell and suppress crimes related to bicycle thefts.
  
  Now, with the creation, all the management or whosoever in charge needs to do is to negotiate with the designer and "buy" his idea! Then have all the bicycle stands outside MRT stations or wherever all changed. Provided there is sufficient funds to finance this major project - since it is gonna be "MRT-station wide"

  Should lock the rear wheel, I gurantee you only your front wheel will be stolen, your bike and the rear wheel will still be intact.

  Lock rear wheel sounds like the best solution of all.
  
  But since front wheel is the most easily stolen, i wont be surprised you will need to change your front wheel every month.

  Guys, pls allow me make myself clear.
  
  If you will take time to read my initial post carefully you will realise that i did agree that its not the job of the MRT station security to look after the bicycles.
  
  Secondly, bicycles have been known to be used by terrorist to hide bombs in the boxes, one such example is in Southern Thailand. Since bicycle park at mrt stations is still in the vicinity of the station, should such a bomb go off, mrt commuters around the station like most of us will get it.

  Also, the other day... i noticed i was wearin the EXACT clothes and carryin a similar bag as the guy in those MRT "Suspicious People" videos
  
  Oh and just lock the middle bar of your bike, chain ur ENTIRE bike or just walk/ take bus/taxi to MRT. Also... ever noticed how ppl lock their bikes under signs that say "no park of bicycles"?

  Well i got a friend who juz bought a bag and start to wear it which nothing is inside and the whole bag is flat. The security guys inside the control stn stop my friend and check his bag...!!!!!! wtf.. cant he see it there nothing in the bag... waaa lau.. i near faint when he told me.. well for me .. my bag usually bulky with stuff but din even stop even once..

  The main reason security isn't looking at the bicycle area is simply because they are not looking anywhere.
  
  We all know this "lets spot terrorists" routine is simply a facade.

  Coz if Terrorist REALLY wanted to bomb us. They would and they are not stupid.
  
  Putting videos on how to spot suspicious people is also a guideline for them on how not to act.
  
  You can use that same video for training terrorist and label it

  The feeling of security in Singapore is just shielding us from the reality that some day it might happen. So to look good Govt & SMRT spoon feed this bullshit to the masses.
  
  AND that is why no one is watching for for the bicycles parked outside the station.
