or plus employers CPF make up 30000?

Another factor could be, you did not fill in the form accurately or fail to provide certain information. I was rejected twice by certain local bank until i fed up & not apply. Alternatively, try to apply those smaller banks (more desperate) like Maybank / Stanchart / ABN
....
Eh...classic card is 30K per annual not including employer's CPF contribution.Originally posted by soulwinner:30000per annual does not include CPF.... it only for normal credit .. Those gold card need 48000 per annual... Get a secured credit card safer...![]()
for debit card, you only spend what you have in the bank.Originally posted by gnoik:if bank acct no $$$, can we still swipe the debit card? Or we own $$$ 1st?

Gold is 48K.
titianium is $50K
platium is 80K
For classic and gold, the income requirement is fixed. But for the others, it varies with different banks.
However, I have 4 Platinum cards, 4 gold cards, 1 titianium card, 1 black card and 2 ATM cards in my possesion. I also 5 credit lines. Impressed?
Dun be.
Nowadays its no longer that presitgious. Bank want to gather market share, doesn't matter if customers are not spending. As long as you meet the min 30K annual income, and have good record, they'll upgrade you to gold/plat/etc etc.
Lookout only for cards that have additional embossment of PREMIER/Privilage or Private. Those are the wealthy folks. One will need min $200K in that bank to qualify for PREMIER/privilage. For private, its 1 mil. Imagine someone with premier cards from 5 different banks. Dun even get me started on private.[/b][/b]
must be money then can use debit card.. unless u have overdraft facility but the interest is worst than credit card....Originally posted by gnoik:if bank acct no $$$, can we still swipe the debit card? Or we own $$$ 1st?

actually, it's not to show off...those wallets whereby you slot from the side, you're bound to see the logo, unless they slot it upside down...for those that's slot from the top, i will slot it upside down, whereby the logo can be seen, not because i wan to show off, but it's because the magnetic strip tends to break easily...i've got my cards replaced twice before i finally decided to slot them upside down...i do the same with my atm cards also...Originally posted by valentinoo:u got see gal wallet b4? they always arrange their cards such that ppl can see mastercard, visa logo.. show off![]()
not really, when i first sent out applications, i sent to UOB, citibank, maybank...i got both citibank and maybank, but not UOB...dunno why...Originally posted by mancha:Your monthly salary is not important.
Your yearly income must be $30,000+ (Salary + bonus + allowances) Employers CPF contribution not counted.
Once you hit that magic number, make photocopies of your income tax statement and apply for basic visa/mastercard credit cards. Not to the banks. But to any organization that is linked to the banks. eg NTUC/OCBC etc, these are easiest to approve.
POSB credit cards are also easy, Citibank the toughest.
