Seafood restaurant dun want sell me raw oysters leh!!!

i juz remembered this incident..
ok here goes, quite a long time ago, i n moi parents ish go east coast udmc to jiak seafood. there ish got mani mani restaurant, so we go eat at one...
then menu say ish gotch sells oyster, n i wanted to eat raw oysters. den i ish tell the waitress i i ish wants raw oyster, but she ish say we no sell raw oyster. then i asks how cums she ish say company policy, no sell raw oyster.
only sell cooked oysters...
knn i feel bit dulan, n wonder how cum they sell cooked oyster but no sell raw oysters one...
then i was thinking, maybe coz they scared if they sell raw oyster, sekali got bacteria then people jiak liao will lau sai n kenna food poisoning, n ish will sue the restaurant. n also considering many diners here r on tourists on tour group one...
but for cooked oyster, if got bacteria on the oyster, the heat will have at leasted killed them.
so i lan lan suck thumb

Simple, Resturant just covering their as. They scared u sue if u get stomach ache n fall sick. That or their raw oysters not fresh and they very very bad

Lols, anyway if the seafood restaurant dun sell you raw oysters, this can be because : They might be held responsible when you get food poisoning or whatever illness from the oysters...

It is for your own good lah. Maybe it's a different class of oyster that they have which cannot be taken raw but must be cooked.
