Someone tried to con my DAD....

Just a while ago(6.50pm++), a man knocked onto my house's door and asked for my Dad. My Dad responded and ask what he wanted.
The whole dialogue is in CHINESE.
Man: "Hello Unker, tomorrow 9am to 10am hor, don't open windows hor or put your landry, cause we going to patch the cracks at the bamboo pole."
My Dad: "Oh okay, thanks alot for this information."
Man: "Unker arh, your house walls got any cracks bo? If have, might as well let me in and have a look at it."
My Dad: "Cracks? Have ar!! The upper floor always have water leakage."
My dad proceeded to open the door and let that man in. Then the my Dad lead him into the kitchen to look at the leakage from the upper floor. Then the 2 man there were discussing about the cracks and the leakage, then suddenly the man talked about this window hanger thingy.
He asked my Dad if he knew about it, cause it is very rare. Following, he told my Dad that while they are patching the bamboo poles, they are also offering a deal on this 'window hanger' which is more safer than the normal bamboo poles. He said that, there is quite a few cases whereby a maid and a 40yrs old auntie who accidentattly fell down while trying to take the bamboo poles out.
He told my Dad that, because they are coming down, they can help to install this 'package' where by it would be cheaper by 50% if we want to. Then he said, normally if you go outside to get people to install this 'window hanger' you have to pay around 1k, but here, its only 400-500.
I heard all his crap and so started a thread here asap! Then my Dad told him he need to think about it first. Then the person keep on persuading him to buy it, and I think my Dad suddenly
. He told him he needed to ask my mum about it first, and hence asked the man for his number first. Hence, I also took my HP and snap a pic of this man.
The person then said: "Unker, your wife sure agree with this one, its very safe & useful!". My Dad then still continued say, need to ask first, and hence asked him for his number. The man finally gave his number and asked, "Unker, when you calling me ar?" my Dad gave no replies at first then just said "urm, a few days later." Then the man said, if you miss this deal right, its not going to be 400-500 any more, going to be more expensive!
I looked at his 'landyard' thingy and saw he is not a HDB personel! He is just from somesort company!
