Trap in a bad relationship

Why some woman cannot get out of a bad relationship?Even though her partner has prove to be un-repentant. And she seem to dive into one after another bad r/s. No matter how you advise them, they sink anyway. There are also this bunch of woman who just take verbal and physical abuses in silence...they get molest or raped, they also kept their silences..and sink by themselves.
Why?! And how can we help them? -
they r not s thick skinned s man..

they are optimistic, always looking at the brigther side time and time again which will not happen

i dont hold on to jerks or entertain them..they harass me further, they just end up at 'mata' chu.. tts why i dun understand.
but i do have good frens who are suffering this way.. when they r in pain, i advise until 'i'm purple... but at the end of e day..it's always e same..
i'm so use to it..

I've seen far too many instances among my female friends where the girl sticks with a guy even though he abuses her (both physically and mentally), cheats on her, leeches away her money and so on for years at end...
... and the girl would continue clinging on to the belief that the guy would change. -

Well, one theory I had from an old JC teacher has something to do with how they were raised... something to do with a father figure... lacking fatherly attention or abusive fatherly act, toward the mother or themselve, subconsciously made them to tolerate their spouse abusive behavior... I don't know all the details...
My theory is that they just want a fairy tale ending hoping prince jerk will be prince charming after enough kisses... This world is not a fairy tale... =.=

Probably to do with the women's self-esteem. They don't think they deserve anyone better. They are afraid that they won't be able to find anyone else if they leave the current relationship. That's why the guys can get away with abusing the women and all they need to do is to manipulate and threaten the women. It's quite sad really.

I've read the psychological explanation to this peculiar situation:n It all has to do with how resistant we are to change.....
Because women detest change so much, they are resistant to the extent that they would rather tolerate with the abuse they are used to than move on to a cimpletely new situation they are unfamiliar with and feel insecure.....
Then also there is some truth in girls being attracted by bad guys because these girls find the regular guys BORING....... -
here's a theory.. it's about people remembering things that are out of the ordinary, and forgetting or being desensitised to what happens all the time...
the man who is good to the lady, his actions "desensitise" her to his goodness.. in a way, she takes his goodness for granted and expects that.. the baseline is set.. when he screws up just once, that one time he screws up will be remembered..
she will keep harping on it, thinking about that one incident, letting her imagination get the better of her.. until one day she decides that he doesn't love her anymore because that one incident is all she thinks about... so she cries bitterly and leaves him...
the man who is consistently bad to the lady, and his actions "desensitise" her and sets this crappy baseline... he does one thing good for her and it sticks out, she remembers that one thing and comes to a conclusion that he loves her.. and sticks by him no matter...
it works the other way too.. with a lady who is good and being left by the guy.. and the bad lady whose guy stays with her.. -
