Do You Think $200 Is Enough As Allowance?

bus ride to MRT station = $0.65
MRT ride to work = $1.39
less rebate = $0.25
total cost to work = $1.79
MRT ride from work = $1.39
walk home from station = free
total transportation cost = $3.18
lunch = $2 (seriously, i get that where i work.. good stuff too) + $1 drink = $3
dinner = $3 (tarpow home)
total cost per day at work = $9.18
work 5 days a week = $45.90
as aforementioned $100 a week, still got $54.10 for the weekends

if ur not working.. nor studying.. ur mother gives u only $50 a week.. its actually a subtle hint to you to start working. For me $50 is enough for me la.. but thats because im still studying ( sec 4). Even then i definitely cannot afford taking cab on a regular basis if i still want to watch movies or go bowling or eat out regularly. i choose not to take the cab like most people because i think the money is more worth spending on something tangible.. and i do like to take the bus ^^V more time to sleep hahaha

9.50 x2 = 19
and popcorn+ drinks etc.. $7
total 26.
+ meals and all.. maybe the whole outing costs you 50.
thats 1/4 of the total already. -
money is never enuff...it depends on your lifestyle...

you're lucky, my side theres like one stall selling vegetarian food at 2 bucks but then eating the same thing every day............
phone bills 5 bucks a week?
break fast?
electricity and water? -
I survive on $20 per week, excluding transportation fee and hp bills. You can survive but it's a little hard up, so with $200 per month I dun think you should worry that much.

And you are given $200 per month to survive on. Food at home is taken care of though. The only bills you have to pay is hp bills. Which is a very tiny sum since you dun use much.

fiy i only use $300 per month and i work hor.
another $300 for house allowance. total i use $600 each month. on some months if i need to buy something i allow $700. if rot at home 200 quite enuf la. -
Enough.. I can survive with $150 by staying at home..

You won't like this but this is my honest opinion:
Not working or studying? Got hands and feet? Go get a job or attend a course to make yourself employable..
Why do you need $200 a month? Young people today are so spoilt. I earn a 5-figure salary a month but I take bus or MRT everyday in Singapore. Why can't you? For entertainment, go to the library and borrow some novels. I don't even use my handphone except for work purposes and that's paid by my employer. Why go to the cinema when you can watch it on VCD/DVD later with the whole family at a far lower price?
How old are you? Are you still a child to be asking your parents for money? Do young people today have no shame?
