Why should your parents have to pay for your date? Save up or earn some money! If you are old enough to have a girlfriend you are old enough to earn your keep. -

Why do you need $200 a month? Young people today are so spoilt. I earn a 5-figure salary a month but I take bus or MRT everyday in Singapore. Why can't you? For entertainment, go to the library and borrow some novels. I don't even use my handphone except for work purposes and that's paid by my employer. Why go to the cinema when you can watch it on VCD/DVD later with the whole family at a far lower price?
How old are you? Are you still a child to be asking your parents for money? Do young people today have no shame? are they so spoilt?
talk about generalisation....
so maybe you are thrifty/stingy and have high tolerance levels, but using that to expect others to do the same is just a bit dumb isn't it? So if i can just sleep whole day when i'm not at work and don't use any electricity or water or whatever i should expect you to follow suit? -

when i was in poly i got about $500 allowance per month from parents... knn, not enough to spend lah!!!
poly food quite exp.
one meal about $2-3, plus drink $1... so altogether $4.
n not forgetting buying snacks or drinks or candies to eat in between lectures...
then every month bus stamp about $50+, and additional top up ezlink card $10 or $20...
hp bill bout $40+ per month
then still got many things to spend on...
where got enough? i so poor -

but remember... my parents are always out of town... so most of the house meals are bought and cooked by me... -
