$50 for a ride that takes me up into the air and then brings me back to the same place I had started? I can go to Bangkok for the same price and still got spare change! At that price, I bet that novel thingy will soon be a White Elephant and go the exect same way as the Craxy Horse........ priced out of the ordinary man-in-the-street.............

Dunno why a lot of high profile projects in Singapore seems to have forgot the other business model. That is to price things affordable and bring in the masses. With the huge masses, they can attract advertising, selling food etc and generate income also. Seems they prefer to play high class, price themselves out of reach from the majority, make the whole thing look very miserable. With so little crowd, advertisers won't be interested also, then other supporting business ideas, like food, also cannot take off. resulting in not able to generate the final profit, then they blame on all sort of other things but will never look at how they do their pricing.
Btw, looking at the wheel, it isn't the highest view around, there are many taller buildings in the CBD on the other side of the bridge. The bridge itself offer quite a decent view too. -
well for all you know its a form of feng shui for the up and coming IR!! also the charges starts from 29+ not 50+, not the cheapest things around but just consider those preious momments that you'll have, holding hands with your love ones or your kids, communicating with them for all that 37mins that you'll have probably means quite alot for some, also just to highlight the hot air ballon that we have in Bugis cost ard 25+ or something for ard 10 mins or so..
