  hamster: furry, no tail
  mouse: furry, got non-furry tail
  gerbil: furry, got furry tail
  
  rat : mouse meal, upsized.

  hamsters are cute...ok? and hamsters have a tail...just that it is very short and hidden cos of the fur.
