Blood Donation

Sorry. this may sound alittle stupid but just want to find out if donating blood causes you to get fat/gain weight? haha heard something like that somewhere before.

i donate blood regularly, i am fit as ever

nah, i donated already, and in fact i loss a kg. but the 1 kg loss is due to exercise and not frm the blood donation.

I remember last time when i took that Hepatitis B!!! that stupid nurse smile and said to me , dont worry, its ticklish! But anyway, i want to donate some more blood, heard tt if donate 50 times, will have the name engraved at the wall of hsa there. So, 49 more times to go.

maybe it's coz i was a medic in the army.. learnt to deal with the pain by blocking it out
but go give blood!

you lose weight from the blood you lost..
last time i donate, so mafan, the painkiller is worst than the blood test -
I thought so too...my mummy insisted we will gain weight from giving blood...Donated once before...The nurse was kind enough to give extra anestheics (how to spell huh?)
Scared then dun see lor...Pain sure will pain de..but the satisfaction you get after that is good...Jus think of those who reli need the blood.. -
i been rejected few times for donating blood. Once i had not enough blood, the nurse only kept half packet of my blood. twice i was sent back cos i not enough iron... want to give blood but ganna rejected was not good a feeling.

some nurse there are trainees, but i dont really care. i will not have the courage to pick up the needle. the pain is nothing compared to other people, who have to be jabbed several needles everyday..

there is no pain after the LA..
and they use the hugeass vein at the crook of the elbow... can't miss..
i should go again but i've been on medication on and off.. so cannot.. only 12 times -
