Every month, 1st day, 12 noon will have the dong dong dong alarm island wide rite?
Coz some people claim outright NO SUCH THING! Even though they live in Singapore 30 - 40 years...
Some of friends also claim they never heard it before...
But some people say have.
And I remember I hear it every month also. -
some people listen to loud music too much so they cant hear lor

Wah kaoz... have lah he is referring ot the one SCDF used to test all the siren around singapore. In times of war it will be used to warn you of danger. The using hte ding dong to test the speaker working or not... Its good isn't it...

that is a PWS - public warning system testing by SCDF.
in an emergency, the actual siren will sound, instead of the ding dong bell -

The loudhailers are usually on the roofs of HDB blocks. I hear it all the time when I'm at home, and heard it once when I was in Centrepoint carpark.
