Someone said before that if you want to change the world, be the change in yourself. I want a society that doesn't take things for granted and is not afraid of offending people in pursuit of truth. Not afraid of offending people in pursuit of truth? Lets use an analogy, let's say I want to know what people actually feel when they are being tortured. Should I give a heck whether I offend you or not and just use you as my experimental test?
"if you want to change the world, be the change in yourself" basically means that if you want to bring about a positive benefit to the world, society, you should start from yourself.
"I want a society that doesn't take things for granted and is not afraid of offending people in pursuit of truth. And get down to every little factor." this may not be a positive benefit to the world/society. -
Some hundred years ago it was natural instinct to know that the world was flat and to kill anyone who says it isn't. Just because you feel safe with it doesn't mean it's right. Not just global warming that changes the world's weather patterns, but also the people's thinkings. -
Is asking about molest and rape against the law? Is it against moral standards and ethical principles? I know why one has to die to know what death is. That is why I never give any half "sensible" advise to people in AA.
Common sense comes from where? From observations. I have little to no contact with people. Much less to say people who were molested or raped. You know how whiney people can get over the smallest issues? True knowing does not rely on surfaces.
