Chinese people are one very complicated species. When the Hans got invaded by the Qing for the next few hundred years they try to 'Fan Qing Fu Ming' (Down the Qing and revive the Ming). But then never succeed. Then when the westerners invade China, the chinese (Hans and Qing together now) sang a different tune "Fu Qing Mie Yang" (Kill the westerners and raise the Qing again)
Then internally they 'zi ji ren da zi ji ren' by selling away country treasures to benefit oneself.
How many of those so-called 'tongzi' during the communist day especially those holding the power alongside Mao became secretly rich? Why do you think China can come up so fast and quick within a short span of less than half a century only.
