Hi All,
my gf is planning to buy a house, but she wan to buy a condo, and our total income is $3200, as she just started work, i have explain to her we cant afford it but she don listen ,
how much to buy a condo and the reqirement ? cpf can be use for the upfront payment ? -
$3200 cannot but a condo one
esp now the price is very high
Now the bank loan interest loan is
3 percent liao
An average condo say in the east side
2 bedroom can easily be at $500,000
There are two types of payment for condo
One is deferment
the other is progressive payment
Normally booking is 5 percent payment
then after 2 months another 5 percent
then the rest can be till Top or according
to the progress construction of the condo

For sure you cant use CPF . have to be 100 percent cash!!!

For example is the condo is 500k, the first upfront to pay is 50k and than 8 week later another 50k plus. so that mean the downpayment is 100k.
For bank loan i am afraid that you guy can't afford the repayment.
The above stated price are the most affordable condo in the market.
They are,
Hillview regency
The petal
Normanton park
some in yck and pasir ris.
These are the most affordable.
but i doubt the bank will approve your loan. -

Sit her down, and help her to see the whole picture. Buying a house, it's not just the cost of the deposit, you need to spend on furniture, utilities (phone, electricity, gas, water, internet), food, insurance etc.
Money problem is one of the major cause for relationship breakdown including divorce in a marriage.
If you're not comfortable with the whole thing and know that you can't afford it, DO NOT commit yourself to it.

Be more prudent! Rent an apartment first. Your gf's very smart - you buy a condo and register both your names as co-owners. One year later, she divorces you and she gets to claim half share! Better be safe than sorry. Particularly when she seems to be so materialistic and greedy.......... she prc arh?
