Nowadays students more hardworking izzit?

I just finished my year 3 in Poly a few months ago... My life there was... well besides year 1 where we were noobs, we would always skip lectures whenever we could, night class, confirm no 1 go de, usually only 10 ppl attend night lectures... in a threatre that can hold 200 ppl...
Textbook we also dun buy de, we buy lecture notes nia...
Its so bad until teacher started taking attendance and giving extra quiz and marks to encourage ppl to come to lecture...
But I was surprised to hear from a Year 2 guy... they actually attended every single lecture, even night lectures... even went so far to buy textbooks, which were not compulsary at my time, and they even actually LISTENED to lecture... the people of my batch would attend lectures... den start taking out their PSP, laptops, handphones or sleep...
Is it the 1987/86 batch more lazy? -

Heh....i used to be attentive....usually read up before i enter lectures....during lectures i sleep =x...i miss those days....unofficially graduated and so bored =/
