Is the batt already charged when you buy phone from starhub?
I bought with the student's plan powervalue 100. The person inserted a battery which i forgot come from where(the box?) into the phone to let me test. The phone was half-charged. -
all batteries are partially charged by the manufacturer to enable u to test the phone.

ya mine was half-charged. i think not just starhub la, m1 and singtel also give it to u partially charged so that u can test

Actually it was full charged, must be some itchy hand starhub staff take out and mess with your phone till left half charged. You better check the call timers just to make sure man, but damn, that could be reset too.
You better make a trip down to starhub just to make sure you got what you pay for. I wouldn't pay for something that has been messed about and labelled brand new. -

mus drain the batt then u can do a full charge for 8hrs.. -
I think no need to drain the battery till fully low batt then you recharge again. These 3G phones comes wif smart technology and should be able to discharge and then recharge the battery automatically.

BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is that even the user guide doesnt say need to charge for 8 hours.
I know that the convention handphones they always say first time charge must charge for 8 hrs. But for mine, they only say charge 2.5 hrs. -
All batteries that come with your phone package have a residual charge of about 30%...
This charge is done at the factory by default for testing of your transceiver set and also the batteries...
That's why they remind the user to charge it for at least about six to ten hours depending on your battery type and brand... -

after tt jus charge until full
try to use until almost empty then charge
do not charge overnite -
Hiyah just charge it when you feel like it lar. Why make your life so miserable over when to charge a battery? As if you're going to be using the same phone for more than 3 years liddat.

mine is 3.6 v and just now i only spent 1.2 hours recharging the battery.
I am just afraid that i got a battery with defects. 5 mins and the battery level drops by 1%.
If this is so, i can only use it for 8 hours not even one day!!
And by right the batt should last for 3-4 days.!! -

Most new phone battery are half charge for you to test out..
You ahev to charge you phone for at least 8-10 hours..
