1. main line to use your vessels? means? my fasters and the most reliable ship har?Originally posted by sbst275:feeders 1 thing though is that should get main line to use your vessels to maximise your capacity...
Of course the hub port you use is also very important, but for feeders usually you follow your customers

No... You see, main lines would never be able to serve everywhere. So they might need feeder operators to get the connectivity if they decide not to if they do not have the resources. That's why there's the term transhipment portsOriginally posted by toyota-corolla:1. main line to use your vessels? means? my fasters and the most reliable ship har?

Pt 2 is pretty simple... If the main lines attributes to say 60% of your load factor, if they use Singapore as their hub, wun you need to use more of Singapore's port facility to suit to their needs?
I dun think so...Originally posted by toyota-corolla:i get it. can i build my own port?![]()

ah i see.Originally posted by sbst275:I dun think so...
It's rather to use common user facility like at PSA or if after some time, you have good r/s with the operator and good volumes, you might want to consider dedicated berths
Another thing, the feeder routes hmm... how should I put itOriginally posted by toyota-corolla:ah i see.
anymore tips har? getting more and more interesting.![]()
you mean, example, everyone love going australia, so i shall maybe have a weekly serivce, ferry passenger from singapore to australiaOriginally posted by sbst275:Another thing, the feeder routes hmm... how should I put it
For the popular ones, make it point to point and as frequent as possible in tandem with the demand. The lesser popular destinations, maybe can group them up as far as you can
Yesh it's all based on supply and demandOriginally posted by toyota-corolla:you mean, example, everyone love going australia, so i shall maybe have a weekly serivce, ferry passenger from singapore to australia
while, those not popular like CHINA, maybe i can have monthly service, ferry passenger from singspore to CHINA. right?![]()
fastest take how many days if the ship top speed is 23.5 knots.Originally posted by sbst275:Yesh it's all based on supply and demand
But for feeder container vessels, this one is what I can say
For cruise wise, it all depends... Dun forget to Australia by cruise takes days man
If I'm not wrong, a containerised vessel from SIN -> AU -> SIN takes abt 28 days... But you know Aussie ports aren't that efficient...Originally posted by toyota-corolla:fastest take how many days if the ship top speed is 23.5 knots.![]()
