Cheating during exams

i rather fail my exam than doing tis sort of cheating.
too bad as far as i see some uni students... even the good students also copy during common tests, really lose respect on them. -

but i know of a good way to cheat esp for subjs like history.
get an ipod nano, put all the answers in one of the song's "lyrics".
ipod users will know what im talking about.

there was someone i talked to, he was someone really high in a country in a mess... he was asking how to dig his country out of it..
it was the education system..
the cheating started and the cheaters prospered.. and the rest saw it.. and they all started to cheat... no one was punished..
after a lot of cheating, and a few generations later, NO ONE WAS QUALIFIED TO TEACH ANYMORE.. and after a while, the whole country was plagued.. no one could do anything at all.. the country went into a death spiral and now, they are about the poorest people on the planet...
he was the education minister of Bangladesh then... you could see the anguish on his face when he talked to us about it.. he was educated abroad and he wanted to dig his country out of the mess.. and despaired that the cheating wasn't stopped in the beginning...
you do steal when you cheat.. you stole from the guy who put in the effort to learn, you stole from everyone who tried their best...
and if you keep going your way and the philosophies of Machiavelli, which says that the end justifies the means, hold sway, then, you steal from society, you steal from humanity... -

There are many theories about the cause of Antisocial Personality Disorder including experiencing neglectful parenting as a child, low levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, and belief that antisocial behavior is justified because of difficult circumstances. Psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy are common treatments. The effects of medical treatment are inconclusive. Unfortunately, most people with Antisocial Personality Disorder reject treatment. Therefore, recovery rates are low. -
I strongly discourage cheating not because of conscious issue.
First, how far can cheating take you? First or second upper? perhaps in your dreams. There are tons of information that you need for a subject, how much can you put inside that piece of paper? And even if you got a lot of small pieces, how do you know where to find that information you need urgently? Also, where are you going to find the time needed to search through your slips of paper to get the information? For me, I really had no time to get information by cheating. I rely mainly on my memory and the practice questions that I did before the exams.
Secondly, if you are cheating, it simply means that you do not have sufficient knowledge on that particular subject. Example, for engineering course, cheating means you probably had little knowledge about the equations that you had wrote down. So how can you be sure that you are able to apply this equation during exams? Do you even know when you can apply that equation? I seriously doubt so. To add on, certain subjects form the foundation of the knowledge for future subjects. So if you do not have the knowledge in this subject, how are you able to understand the next subject?
Thus, conclusion is that cheating will not take you far nor help to increase your knowledge. Instead of cheating, you should learn about studying smart. For studying smart,
Understand what the equations mean and how to apply them. Practising with some problems helped you identify the problems which you apply these equations. After you did a few problems, these equations will roughly be register into your head.
then you try questions which use similar equations but with a twist. Like perhaps you need to find out more information before applying such equations. After this, you probably will understand how this equation works and able to apply them with ease liao.
By then, you should be able to understand much about this equation and you need only a bit more memory work to remember them. Of course, the more practice you do, the easier for you to remember these equations and use them without hesitation or mistake. -
Last time i used to think quizzes and CAs are ok to cheat and was guilty of some of them.
However, ever since i watched animes and the movie Last Samurai, i'm proud to say i haven't cheated since and the feeling that u know u are upright and did not cheat is great man!

Why can't you justify cheating on the basis that you aren't given 10 marks for a headstart?
Afterall, there're criminals who justify the need to be paid top dollars to weed out corruption... -
Thats what you think. When you cheat, you got a 10 marks headstart. But do you really get a 10 marks headstart? What i am arguing is that you are probably bringing some equations into the examination hall without any idea what the equation is suppose to do or how it can help you. You saw the question, just dump any equations and perhaps only get some smypathy points. But the problem is, you are losing marks for inability to fully apply the equations nor the right variables to use to get to the answer. Beside, I don't envy those who cheat. I pity them. They are only there to clear the exams and they are constantly worrying over whether they pass or fail. Its not like what most perceive, that if you cheat, you will surely pass. So why don't your try harder to understand these equations? -
